1. Why does Robyn think they are the only people ever to have gone into Hell?

• he thinks that it was only them and the Hermit are the only people ever to see it.

2. Why do you think the valley is called Hell?

• cause even though it looked nice and safe in there but maybe there is something that's hiding out there waiting to frighten people.

3. Why must the teenagers seem like visitors from hell to the wild things living in the clearing? How is this ironic?

• the place was peaceful but when they arrived there they made a lot of noise.

4. What picture of Kevin do we get in this chapter?

• He has a bad habit cause he did not leave the trees alone he breaks every branch, but he was useful cause he was good at lighting the fire.

5. What does Ellie liken Fi to? Do you think this is a fair assessment of her character? Use examples from the text to support your thinking?

• Exotic butterfly, cause Fi is behind everything others have experience in their life, and her family is all about healthy food.

6. At times Ellie switches her narration from retelling the story to commenting about her life in the present - why do you think the author has chosen to write in this style?

• cause instead of going on with his story he decided to tell something that's more fun and interesting.
