CHAPTER FIVE AND CHAPTER SIX......

3.08.18
Chapter five.

1. What does Corrie’s choice in career say about her character?

  • She Cares for everyone and she wants to do good things for other people so she is the kind of character that is kind and nice.

2. The group’s ability to avoid arguing with each other is rare- do you think that there would have been more drama if you and your friends went bush for a week?

  • I don't think so, because we may be busy exploring the place and experience many new things instead of having a fight or argument or any drama.

3. Why do you think Ellie and Lee feel uneasy just before their return to Wirrawee from the Bush?
  • cause they can feel that something is not right and they have been feeling this way since the day that the planes were flying at night while they were sleeping.
4. What do you predict will await the group back home, why do you think this?
  • they are going to find so many dead animals and no one at home, the reason why I think this is because they have been in the bush for five days and they did not know anything or what is going on in their homes.

CHAPTER SIX
1. What is the first sign that something is wrong with Ellie’s house?
  • when they came and stood outside and it was very quiet, also Ellie new they had dogs they would be barking if someone is close. Also when she saw the dogs they looked dead.

2. Who is the first person to really realize what is happening?
  • Lee

3. What is Ellie’s reaction to this person’s caution? Why do you think she reacts this way?
  • cause he was making connections too fast and Ellie was overthinking everything.

4. How is the pace in this chapter different from the chapters before?
  • they were having fun and enjoying their camp but when they came back they too many things to think about and too many questions to ask.

5. If you were in this situation, would you test the radio or not? Give reasons for your thinking.
  • yes, I would test the radio cause I want to know what's going on and it may make me think of what to do next.

6. Do you think the way the teenagers reacted to the realization that Australia may have been invaded or at war was realistic? Why/why not.
  • yes, cause no one could be seen everything was quiet and the power was out for the whole day.

7. What possible reasons exist that could spark war or invasion of Australia?
  • The people not being around and the power was cut off for the whole the day and the dead animals.
