Bridge Building

Aim:
I want to build a bridge over a 30cm gap.

Equipment:

• newspaper
• sellotape
• scicessors

Research:



Method:

• Roll multiple pages of A4 paper up into tubes and seal/hold with sellotape.
• Tape together multiple A4 paper tubes to form the platform of the bridge.
• Tape together 8xA4 paper tubes to form the struts/braces of the bridge.
• Tape together multiple tubes for the bracing beam at the top of the struts.

Sellotape is only for holding paper together and not for coat the paper in layers and layers of plastic.

Result:

it did not hold lots of books so yeah. that was the result
